Chapter 39

In harmony with the Tao,
the sky is clear and spacious,
the earth is solid and full,
all creatures flourish together,
content with the way they are,
endlessly repeating themselves,
endlessly renewed.

  1. I write as Jack’s whiskers brush the page ~ as the blue inked pen swings over from right to left where Jack sits on my lap forcing his way there so that he too can be in the light of the rising sun ~ we listen to the tic-toc-tic-toc of the clock on the table and the Coo~Coo of the morning dove outside. We live in this moment of harmony, energy and spirit ~ the shadow of the fine tipped pen writes each letter as medium blue ink appears at the bottom of the shadow just at the point of contact with paper. A writing dance forms ~ shadow-contact-blue on white paper over and over until the writing is done. shadow-contact-blue / shadow-contact-blue ~ creating each written letter: the w and r and i and t and e. Tao—awareness of living in the folds of writing as I lie between the letters of the words I write. I live behind the heart and my mind touches spirit. The return has come and how it used to be is now~and again.
