Chapter 19

19 Throw away holiness and wisdom,
and people will be a hundred times happier.
Throw away morality and justice,
and people will do the right thing.
Throw away industry and profit,
and there won't be any thieves.

  1. Tao 19
    Throw away holiness and wisdom:

I don’t know what prayer is any more.
The bunny was hit by a car so I say
    I sit kindly by you
    I cover you with care.

    Throw away morality and justice:

I’m not going to argue what happened
    —it happened.
Here, really . . . give me some
    let me share your pain.

    Throw away industry and profit

I can let it go, you know
I know how to do this,
    let pain go back to
    where it came from.

just stay at the center of the circle

    The universe remains balanced as
    I sit with you
    and share your life
    and death with you.

let all things take their course.

    Neither one of us has
    anything to fear . . .
    the universe is in balance
    and we’re in acceptance.

    You know about bunny suffering
    and are taken care of
    by your own understanding of
    what that power is.

You are God lying in the gutter on my street
I am God sitting with you.
We have no questions and no answers
    We are Gods.

  2. Return to the Garden, what was before the fruit was eaten? No wrong no right. Hungry eat, tired sleep, live die, repeat.
